I too have tried many dating sites in my life to fetch a proper partner for my dating. After splitting up with my girlfriend of more than ten years, I was back on the market, but without much of an idea of what to do. I decided that I would try a few dating sites and see how things went. Friends had previously fitted me up with a blind date or two, but they did not seem to go well and I really wanted to make contact outside of my present tight social set. I am almost addicted to Google and the world wide web and reckoned that I would find plenty of ideas and dating sites out there and that was the case; as ever, after connecting and typing my search criteria into the little search box, I found pages and pages of hits. There was plenty of online dating sites and I found quite a few that I could actively join and use without parting with any serious money. As a guy alone on the dating scene, I had no illusions that I might find it difficult finding women. I don’t think that I’m very photogenic and not too good with the written word, but I have the chat when up close and personal. I reckon my chat is probably my best feature and an easy smile, I guess. The easy smile doesn’t photograph well though. Not only that, but I realised that I didn’t really have any suitable photographs. I’ve never been one who liked having their photo taken and often I have avoided such situations - that proved to be a real problem. It the end, I got a photo taken in a small photo cubicle, after several attempts at posing till I got one where I though I looked just like the kind of guy that a girl might be interested in meeting. The market out there for women on dating sites seems to be very varied, from those looking for a full time long term relationship to those just seeking a casual boyfriend. Plenty of girls are just really interested in simple no strings attached dating I found and it wasn’t difficult to meet up with several just a few weeks after joining. I put my success down to using a broad scatter gun approach to messaging. As it was a lot of my messages sent out got no replies - which was just as well, otherwise I would easily have been overbooked. I tailored my messages very carefully for girls of a specific type and then just sent it out to all the girls I could find who qualified. One of the respondents was a lovely lovable girl, of twenty seven, from Indonesia. She was here training as a nurse and she was beautiful.
